Climate change has emerged as one of the most significant challenges affecting agricultural productivity, food security, and rural livelihoods across the globe. Climate-Smart Agricultural Technologies (CSATs) have been developed to enhance agricultural productivity while improving resilience to climate variability and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. These technologies include conservation agriculture, precision farming, integrated nutrient management, drought-tolerant crop varieties, efficient irrigation systems, agroforestry, and digital advisory services. However, the successful implementation of these technologies largely depends on farmers' adoption behaviour, which is influenced by socio-economic, institutional, technological, psychological, and environmental factors. Understanding adoption behaviour is essential for designing effective policies and extension strategies that encourage widespread acceptance of climate-smart innovations. This study explores the determinants influencing farmers' adoption decisions, including education, farm size, access to credit, extension services, risk perception, awareness, social influence, market accessibility, and government support. It also examines barriers such as limited financial resources, inadequate technical knowledge, poor infrastructure, and uncertainty regarding technology performance. The study highlights the role of extension agencies, digital agriculture, farmer producer organizations, and participatory approaches in accelerating technology adoption. Promoting climate-smart agricultural technologies through capacity building, financial incentives, policy interventions, and improved information dissemination can significantly enhance climate resilience and sustainable agricultural development. The findings contribute to developing strategies that improve technology diffusion, strengthen farmers' adaptive capacity, increase productivity, and ensure long-term environmental sustainability under changing climatic conditions.

Climate-resilient agriculture is essential for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals because climate change simultaneously affects food production, water availability, biodiversity, human health, rural employment, poverty, and social stability. Multidisciplinary approaches integrate agronomy, soil science, hydrology, climatology, ecology, economics, sociology, engineering, biotechnology, information technology, public health, and policy studies to develop agricultural systems capable of anticipating, absorbing, and recovering from climatic shocks. Major strategies include crop diversification, climate-resilient varieties, conservation agriculture, agroforestry, integrated crop–livestock systems, efficient irrigation, soil-carbon management, renewable energy, weather forecasting, digital advisory services, insurance, and inclusive rural institutions. These interventions contribute directly to SDG 2 by improving food security and sustainable production, while also supporting poverty reduction, gender equality, clean water, decent employment, responsible consumption, climate action, biodiversity conservation, and institutional partnerships. However, climate-resilient agriculture cannot be achieved through isolated technologies. Its effectiveness depends upon local knowledge, farmer participation, reliable climate information, affordable finance, equitable access to resources, supportive markets, interdisciplinary research, and coordinated governance. Smallholders, women, indigenous communities, tenant farmers, and agricultural labourers require particular attention because they often experience high climate exposure but possess limited adaptive resources. Monitoring frameworks should evaluate productivity, resilience, mitigation, income, nutrition, equity, water use, soil quality, biodiversity, and unintended trade-offs. By combining scientific knowledge with community experience and aligning agricultural policies with broader development priorities, multidisciplinary climate-resilient agriculture can strengthen food systems, protect ecosystems, improve rural livelihoods, and accelerate progress toward the interconnected Sustainable Development Goals.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as one of the most transformative technologies of the twenty-first century, significantly influencing the creation, distribution, and commercialization of creative works across literature, music, visual arts, software, film, journalism, and digital content industries. Advanced generative AI systems are now capable of producing paintings, musical compositions, novels, poems, computer programs, architectural designs, and multimedia content with minimal human intervention. While these technological advancements have expanded opportunities for innovation and creativity, they have simultaneously challenged the traditional foundations of intellectual property law. Existing copyright, patent, trademark, and related rights frameworks were developed on the assumption that human creators are the primary authors and inventors of intellectual works. AI-generated creations therefore raise complex legal questions concerning authorship, ownership, originality, inventorship, infringement, licensing, liability, fair use, moral rights, and commercial exploitation.The absence of internationally harmonized legal standards has resulted in varying regulatory approaches across jurisdictions regarding the protection of AI-generated works. Courts, policymakers, and intellectual property offices increasingly face disputes concerning whether AI-generated content qualifies for copyright protection, whether developers or users should own AI-created outputs, and how existing intellectual property laws should accommodate rapidly evolving technologies. Furthermore, the use of copyrighted materials to train AI models has intensified debates concerning data usage, fair dealing, transparency, and creators' rights. This chapter critically examines the legal challenges associated with regulating AI-generated creative works by exploring the interaction between artificial intelligence and intellectual property law, comparative legal developments, emerging regulatory frameworks, and future policy directions. It concludes that balanced legal reforms are essential to encourage technological innovation while protecting human creativity, economic incentives, and the fundamental objectives of intellectual property systems.

The present study examines climate change awareness, environmental attitudes, and sustainable behaviour among citizens through a multidisciplinary perspective. Climate change has become one of the most serious global challenges, affecting health, agriculture, water resources, biodiversity, livelihood, and overall quality of life. The study explores citizens’ understanding of climate change causes, impacts, mitigation measures, and adaptation practices. It also analyses how environmental attitudes influence daily sustainable behaviours such as energy saving, water conservation, waste reduction, recycling, public transport use, tree plantation, and responsible consumption. The study highlights that awareness alone may not always lead to sustainable behaviour unless supported by positive attitudes, environmental education, community participation, policy support, and accessible green alternatives. The study concludes that improving climate literacy and promoting pro-environmental attitudes are essential for encouraging responsible citizen behaviour and achieving sustainable development.

The present study examines the role of community participation and local governance in achieving sustainable rural development and social inclusion. Rural development becomes more effective when local people actively participate in planning, decision-making, implementation, and monitoring of development programmes. Community participation strengthens ownership, accountability, cooperation, and proper use of local resources. Local governance institutions such as Panchayati Raj bodies, village committees, self-help groups, and community-based organizations play a vital role in identifying local needs and delivering basic services. The study explores how participatory governance supports livelihood generation, infrastructure development, education, health, sanitation, women empowerment, environmental conservation, and inclusion of marginalized groups. It also highlights challenges such as lack of awareness, political interference, unequal participation, limited capacity, and weak institutional coordination. The study concludes that sustainable rural development and social inclusion can be achieved through active citizen participation, transparent governance, decentralized planning, and inclusive decision-making.

The present study examines how social entrepreneurship contributes to solving social, economic, and environmental problems through innovative and community-oriented approaches. Social entrepreneurship refers to entrepreneurial activities that aim not only to generate income but also to create positive social impact. Social entrepreneurs work to address issues such as poverty, unemployment, education gaps, healthcare access, women’s empowerment, environmental degradation, skill development, and social exclusion. The study focuses on how social entrepreneurship identifies local problems and develops sustainable solutions through innovation, community participation, resource mobilization, and inclusive business models. Unlike traditional entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship gives equal importance to social welfare and economic viability. It promotes self-reliance, livelihood generation, local leadership, and empowerment of marginalized communities.

Environmental conservation and sustainable development have become global priorities due to the increasing impacts of climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, and unsustainable resource consumption. Achieving long-term environmental sustainability requires not only effective government policies and technological innovations but also active public awareness, positive attitudes, and meaningful participation. The present study examines the level of public awareness regarding environmental conservation, evaluates societal attitudes toward sustainable development initiatives, and assesses the extent of community participation in environmental protection activities. It highlights the role of education, media, governmental campaigns, non-governmental organizations, and community-based programs in shaping environmental knowledge and encouraging responsible environmental behaviour. The study further explores how demographic factors, socio-economic conditions, cultural values, and access to environmental information influence individuals' willingness to engage in conservation practices such as waste management, afforestation, water conservation, energy efficiency, and biodiversity protection. Despite growing environmental awareness across different sections of society, several barriers continue to limit active public participation, including inadequate environmental education, limited resources, weak policy implementation, and lack of community engagement opportunities. The findings emphasize that sustainable development can only be achieved through collaborative efforts involving governments, educational institutions, civil society organizations, industries, and local communities. Strengthening environmental literacy, promoting behavioural change, encouraging citizen participation, and integrating sustainability into public policies are essential for building environmentally responsible societies. The study concludes that increasing public awareness, fostering positive environmental attitudes, and enhancing community participation are fundamental pillars for achieving environmental conservation and ensuring sustainable development for present and future generations.

Tourism development has become an important driver of economic growth, cultural exchange, and regional development across the world. It creates employment opportunities, enhances infrastructure, promotes local entrepreneurship, and generates income for communities while contributing to national economic progress. At the same time, tourism significantly influences local culture, traditional lifestyles, natural resources, and the social structure of host communities. This study examines the impact of tourism development on local culture, community livelihoods, and sustainable regional development. It explores both the positive and negative effects of tourism by analyzing how cultural heritage, traditional customs, handicrafts, festivals, and indigenous knowledge are preserved and promoted through responsible tourism practices. The study also highlights the role of tourism in improving employment, income generation, entrepreneurship, and the quality of life of local communities. Furthermore, it discusses the importance of sustainable tourism in balancing economic growth with environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and social inclusion. Challenges such as environmental degradation, commercialization of culture, over-tourism, waste generation, and unequal distribution of tourism benefits are also examined. The study emphasizes that effective tourism planning, community participation, environmental protection, and responsible governance are essential for achieving sustainable regional development. It concludes that tourism can become a powerful instrument for inclusive and sustainable growth when local communities actively participate in tourism planning and cultural heritage is protected alongside economic development. Sustainable tourism policies therefore contribute to long-term regional prosperity, environmental conservation, and the preservation of cultural identity.

Inclusive growth has emerged as a fundamental objective of sustainable development, emphasizing equitable access to economic opportunities, social justice, and environmental sustainability. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a comprehensive global framework that integrates economic prosperity, environmental protection, and social well-being. However, achieving these goals requires more than government intervention; it demands collaborative efforts involving social innovation, community participation, academic institutions, civil society organizations, and the private sector. This paper presents a multidisciplinary analysis of the interrelationship between the SDGs, social innovation, and community participation in promoting inclusive growth. Drawing upon perspectives from economics, sociology, public administration, environmental studies, and development studies, the paper examines how innovative social practices and active citizen engagement contribute to addressing poverty, inequality, unemployment, climate change, and social exclusion. It further explores the role of participatory governance in improving policy effectiveness and ensuring that marginalized communities become active stakeholders in development processes. The study argues that sustainable development can only be realized through integrated governance models that combine institutional support with grassroots innovation and collective action. The findings highlight that collaborative partnerships, technological advancements, inclusive policymaking, and community empowerment significantly enhance the implementation of the SDGs. The paper concludes that multidisciplinary cooperation provides a robust pathway toward resilient societies capable of achieving sustainable and inclusive growth while ensuring that no individual or community is left behind.
